Why I Want To Be Your President!

Hello, my name is Miles Teague and I am running for Boy President this year. I would appreciate your vote very much.
Last year I had the honor of being elected by the Hillcrest student body as Vice President in charge of Committees, and I enjoyed the opportunity to serve the school. While serving as your Vice President, I had a chance to see - first hand - how Student Council works, and I would like to be a part of it again.
I know what it takes to be an effective leader. I believe I would be a strong President because I am very organized and responsible. I am a good listener and I would make sure that all ideas and voices are heard during Student Council meetings.
I have shown that when elected I always follow through on my campaign promises. Last year I had the idea to do something Hillcrest had never done before, and I organized a service project for Hillcrest School at Feed My Starving Children. Hillcrest families met at a food-packing facility in Aurora, IL and, working together, packed over 23,000 meals … enough food to feed 36 children for a full year! I was very proud of how we all came together to help so many others who are less fortunate.
As your Boy President I will work closely with all of the elected officers to make student council the most successful it has ever been. One idea I have is to create a live webcast of this year’s Talent Show. We have so many great acts at Hillcrest each year. Wouldn't it be great if grandparents and other family who live far away could watch our show?  With all the technology available today, I believe we could offer a webcast of our Talent Show on the Internet, and if you elect me Boy President I will work with our sponsors and parents to try and make this goal a reality.
As you cast your ballot … Keep Hillcrest Miles Ahead ... by voting for me, Miles Teague, your future Boy President. Thank you for your support, and your vote tomorrow.

Why I Want To Be Your Vice-President!

My name is Miles Teague and I am running for Vice President in charge of Committees.  I would appreciate your vote.
I want to be VP of Committees because I want to raise the bar for service projects in our school. Hillcrest already has a lot of great service projects like the food drive, math-a-thon, jump rope for heart, and pennies for pasta. I would like to continue each of these during the 2012-13 school year.

If elected as your Vice President of Committees, I pledge to:

  • Set a goal for our school that 90% of our student body participates in at least one service project this year.
  • Create a new service project with Feed My Starving Children, where Hillcrest students and their parents can help pack food boxes to support children in need.
I myself really enjoy being involved with service projects. I have volunteered to work for PADS, which is a group of people who help make beds and food for those in need. I also have firsthand experience packing food at Feed My Starving ChildrenIn addition to my volunteer experience, I am a very responsible student who is respectful of everyone. I also believe I am a very organized person, and this will help me be a great VP of Committees.
Keep Hillcrest Miles Ahead ... by voting for me, Miles Teague, your future Vice President of Committees. Thank you for your support!
